Ceramics & Studio Pottery

Here at The Phoenix Garden we do love a pot!

We currently have unique and beautiful examples of work from three exceptional independent potters, each with their own individual style and approach.

High Fired Pottery from Somerset

Inspired by the natural world and, in particular, by a fascination with the sea and where it meets the land.

Each fabulous piece demonstrates the potter's skill in creating a mix of textures and colours which need to  be held in your hands to be fully appreciated.

Raku Pottery from Cinderford

Traditionally Japanese earthenware, these stunning pots acquire their unique purples, greens and browns  as a result of the firing process.

Favoured by Buddhist Masters for reflecting their philosophies of simplicity and naturalness, the firing process uses all the natural elements of fire, earth, air and water.

Earthenware Ceramics from Malvern

Wonderfully tactile pieces including a range of glazes which produce a variety of textures and patterns.

Using a mixture of traditional and contemporary techniques,  these are unique and beautifully decorated decorative items.
